Nucleon, Synthesis or Plasma for free!

Second gold on a Nucleon!

Michel Carnet won gold medal during open championships of Britain on a Nucleon 31. His outstanding result was accompanied by David Muzellec on another Nucleon (third place), Tom Keene on a Reaction (fifth) and Laura Turner on a Nucleon (sixth). Over 62% of the canopies taking part in this competition came from Dudek Paragliders!

Nucleon 29 with EN C

29 m2 Nucleon has just passed the certification as an EN C paraglider.
Soon we will have the 25, 27 and 31 certified as well.

Certified Nucleons differ from the canopies sold so far by some suspension lines lengths - namely lines AI, AII, AIII, BIII, and STI have been shortened by 1 cm. This change affects minimally (if at all) behaviour of the wing in flight, yet it was helpful in passing one of the tests (no. 17). During trial tests the Nucleon got a D in that one.

Owners of previously manufactured Nucleons can send their paragliders to the factory for lines replacement (for 160 zl + shipments costs) - as a result they will get a certification sticker applied. Or they can wait a while until next inspection.

Of course the owners can shorten the lines on their own, with help of this information. Yet they have to remember that in such case their wing still won't be certified and a sticker could not be applied.

Plasma PV super light

Pascal Vallee is currently experimenting with yet another version of light Plasma. Super light this time, made of 36 g/m2 cloth as a 28m2 canopy.
So far he is delighted:

I'm very happy in all aspects with superlight.
The minimum speed is again better than it was in light!
At the last task all French pilots flew together, and just with the trims closed the superlight did the best slow speed. David Muselec (Nucleon 29) flied faster, even as his trims were closed more than original!y applicable! And for the speed task I was alway the fastest!
I don't want to change wings !!
